Open the topic up to the group, so that everyone has a chance to participate.
Examples:
“Let’s hear what other people might be thinking…”
“Does anyone see this differently?”
“Whom haven’t we heard from yet?”
The Over-Eager Audience
Everyone’s talking at once, and you can’t hear a word that anyone in your group is saying.
How to address the problem:
Take charge of the room – tell people that everyone will get a chance to talk, but that you’d like them to speak one at a time. If you have to, choose an order for the speakers, saying “First we’ll hear from Kiran, then Mira and lastly Emma.”
