As we are all waiting to hear from the Ministries of Education and Health about what’s next for students during the COVID-19 Pandemic, teachers and parents are searching for online resources for their children. Today I am looking through UNESCO’s offerings and am finding many valuable links. This a link to UNESCO’s site:

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, has posted online resources for students on a wide variety of platforms. UNESCO provides links to learning management systems, systems with offline functionality, systems that work on mobile phones, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) content, collaboration platforms that support live video-based learning content, tools to create digital content and resources for self-directed learning. Content is from all over the world.

In 2013, World Reader launched an app for mobile phones, making it possible for anyone with a data-connected phone to access thousands of digital books. Parents of young children can access 75 of their books for free.

Bijus is an educational site based in India and offers free online courses accessible by downloading the app onto a cell phone.
